Pedasí, Los Santos. November, 20, 2019— In spite of rainy weather, the community of Pedasí turned out to register their four-legged friends in the Pedasí Pet Registry. As more families adopt dogs and cats, it has become necessary to create a database in the unfortunate event an animal is injury or lost. Animal Advocates took on this task and began recording pet photos and owner information.
Over 30 dogs were registered Sunday. Animal Advocates of Pedasí will be providing dog identification tags at no cost. Collars and leashes were collected and given to any dog in need.
The fun day also included a dog costume contest and parade around the central park. There was a photo booth, dog games, art for sale and food vendors.
The event was so successful a second fair is being planned for early January.
Animal Advocates of Pedasí is a chapter of SpayPanama providing low cost sterilization to the Pedasí district.
