The 65th NATIONAL FESTIVAL of the MEJORANA 2015 PROGRAM
SATURDAY 19th of SEPTEMBER
8:30 pm – The Coronation of Estefany Elizabeth Gonzalez Pinzon as the Queen of the National Festival of the Mejorana 2015 presented by last years Queen, Ana Lucia Soriano Ritter.
SUNDAY 20th of SEPTEMBER
9:00 am The Gathering for the construction of the Barrier in the Plaza de Toros.
WEDNESDAY 23rd of SEPTEMBER
7:00 PM.- Procession in honour of our patron saint Our Lady of Mercy, followed by a fireworks display.
THURSDAY 24th 0f SEPTEMBER
10:00 am – Mass in honour of Our Lady of Mercy.
2:00 pm – Poetry Competition
3:00 pm – Traditional bull show.
7:30 pm – Singing Competition
FRIDAY 25th of SEPTEMBER
7:30pm – Costume competition, Traditional men’s ‘Coleta’ shirt and Traditional women’s ‘Pollera Montuna’.
SATURDAY 26th of SEPTEMBER
Competition DAY at Guararé’s centre park stage.
9:00 am -The Grand competition of the Mejorana
9:00 am -The Children’s Drum Competition.
10:00 am – The Children’s Accordion Competition.
12:30 pm – Drum Competition ( for adults)
2:30 pm -The Mejorana Competition
3:00 pm – Traditional bull show.
4:00 pm- The ROGELIO “GELO” CORDOBA, Accordion Competition. The most important competition of accordions in Panama.
7:30 pm- Cultural Folk Dance Competition.
SUNDAY 27th of SEPTEMBER
THE main event of the FESTIVAL the Cart competition
12 noon – Starts the biggest display of carts in a parade which will be led by Ensign National Television TVN.
Following the parade the competitions, ‘Concurso de Tuna’ and the ‘Concurso de Carretas’ will be held.
5:00 pm – The presentation of prizes to the winners of the Concurso de Tuna’ and the ‘Concurso de Carretas’
MONDAY 28th of SEPTEMBER
3:00 pm-Traditional bull show.
7:00 pm – The big night of the Violins
