By Nelson Morales, President of The Club 20-30 Las Tablas
Last Saturday, the Club Activo 20-30 Las Tablas and the Ministry of Environment of Los Santos Province, conducted the planting of 800 seedlings of national varieties of mahoganies, guachapalí, oaks, mountain almond, cedar hawthorn, cocobolos, in the township of Bayano, District of Las Tablas.
Such a purchase of seedlings is thanks to the funds raised from the walk race held in recent months by us.
The Active 20-30 Club of Las Tablas, in order to join the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Panama, to reforest 1 million hectares in 20 years, to achieve the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases, commitment that Panamá acquired when signing the agreement of Paris, on April 22, 2016. We want to thank Los Santos Police Zone, to Pedasi CIMA Project and to all those who helped us to plant these trees.
