HOW TOURISM BEGAN IN PEDASÍ

Pedasi has been on the map of Panama since 1795, known as a little town in the Panamanian countryside. As time passed it was referenced to be part of the town of La Villa, los Santos, then to become its own district. Pedasi was noted for having beautiful beaches and it was a strategic place by the United States military in Punta Mala during the Second World War. This is when tourism began with many visits by military families to our village. Horses and many other visitor facilities were rented.
