It is with the heaviest of hearts that we collect just a snap shot of your life, a life cut short, far too soon. Our Noemi touched many people with her smile and her pretty green eyes.
Noemi was born in Las Tablas but known to all as a true Pedasiena. She was the oldest sister of four beautiful girls, Edith, Eileen and Evelyn. She leaves behind a devoted family, her parents Boanergis Diaz and Edelmira Cordoba and her grandmothers in Mariabe and Pedasi.
Noemi had already lived such a full life at the age of 29, wise beyond her years. As young as 14 she was discovered as a model but she knew that this life was not enough for her. By the age of twenty-one Noemi had graduated as an air traffic controller in Panama City. She then lived for two years in the United States as an au pair in Arizona, where she studied Mandarin and English.
But her heart was always at home in Pedasi, where she returned to work. She was a true professional and most recently was promoted as a manager in Pedasi Tours.
Noemi contributed to many charities and in October last year she helped with the fund raising for a little boy called Alvaro Gomez’s cancer treatment. She loved sports, SUP, the Triathlon, cycling. Noemi participated in many competitions. She excelled with her positive attitude and determination to do her best. What was so special about Noemi is that she had such a curiosity to learn. Be it a new language, fishing, photography, her life was so full of adventure. How can we forget the day that she swam with a Whale?
We will miss your unique sense of humor, the laughter and the fun; the expressions, your time and the endearing nick names you gave us, for we will treasure these always. Her absence has left a void not only in Pedasi, internationally. Because such was the impression she made with many people around the world.
